Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,594 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/15/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Family Birthing Center/Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1900 to 0700 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of Two years current experience License: State Nursing License Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred; can train on-site Description: Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required. Assess all triage patients greater than 20 weeks. Use obstetric triage acuity tools. Conduct labor assessment and evaluation. Perform fetal evaluation and assessment. Evaluate for labor at term, preterm labor signs, signs and symptoms of preeclampsia, rupture of membranes, decreased fetal movement, preterm premature rupture of membranes, vaginal bleeding, and acute and critical conditions. If an emergency medical condition is determined to exist, stabilize the patient for delivery or transfer to a higher level of care if needed. Provide labor assessment, evaluation, and care during the intrapartum period. Administer medications including but not limited to Pitocin, misoprostol, methergine, hemabate, magnesium sulfate, terbutaline, labetalol, nifedipine, hydralazine, and insulin. Stabilize the newborn immediately after birth. Administer newborn medications. Prepare for scheduled or emergency cesarean delivery. Assess and care for postpartum and newborn patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Provide newborn care which includes hearing screening, assisting with laboratory draws, IV starts and care, and medication administration. Assist with circumcisions and care of opiate withdrawal newborns. Stabilize critically ill newborns for transport, provide phototherapy, and manage hypoglycemia care.
