PAY RATE: $18.00+ (based on experience and certifications) DEPARTMENT: Utilities DIVISION: Wastewater SUMMARY: Performs, operates, and monitors, under supervision as needed, a variety of wastewater supply and treatment equipment and production processes. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold and maintain a current New Mexico Wastewater Operator Level 2 certification. New Mexico Wastewater Operator Level 3 certification is preferred.
• New Mexico Wastewater Operator Level 3 certification is required for advancement. EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • May require work outside of regular business hours due to 24-hour operation.
  • Available for emergency response, 24 hours/day, seven days/week.
  • Must have a telephone or ready access to a telephone at their residence.
  • Valid New Mexico Class D Driver s License, with insurable driving record.
  • Recommend a Class A CDL. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Familiar with PC and mobile applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and general internet applications.
    • Have good communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
    • Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include standing for extended periods of time, lifting heavy loads, kneeling, crawling, and climbing.
