Overview:EMT-Intermediate Albuquerque AmbulanceSummaryWork with
a dedicated team of paramedics and EMTs to provide pre-hospital
emergency care and transportation for injured and/or ill patients
to citywide hospitals. The ideal candidate for this position should
have excellent patient service skills, be able to work well under
pressure with little supervision and make quick decisions about
patient health and safety.Throughout Albuquerque Ambulance

Typically 3-13hr shifts or 4-10 hr shifts in days, nights, or
swingsResponsibilities:Monitors and cares for patients and collects
information for documentation in the patient recordTransports and
monitors patientsPerforms in scope interventions such as oxygen
administration, CPR, defibrillation, splinting, bleeding control
and wound dressingMaintains positive communications and
collaboration with other agencies, physicians, and staff regarding
the history, current condition, and treatments rendered for those
patients in his or her careOrganizes care in a manner that
contributes to the overall quality of the teamPerforms other
functions as requiredPerforms department specific functions as
detailed in the summary of department specific
dutiesQualifications:Current, valid New Mexico driver's license is
required with a driving record insurable by Presbyterian PolicyAge
requirement is 18The ability to maintain a Medical Examiners
certification (DOT) is requiredHigh School Diploma or GED is
requiredCurrent NM EMT-Intermediate License is requiredCurrent BLS
Certification is requiredDemonstrate strong interpersonal
communication skills with other agencies, physicians, nursing
staff, and community membersDemonstrate strong and accurate
charting ability as well as be comfortable navigating charting
