THIS IS A REMOTE/VIRTUAL OPPORTUNITY WITH POTENTIAL FOR HYBRID IN INDIANAPOLIS, IN

The REGULATORY AFFAIRS INTERN will be responsible for---_Primary Responsibilities:_- Develop, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide records management program for all media types designed to identify, maintain, organize and preserve business records as required by law, regulation and business processes. This includes: - Maintaining and administering the company's records retention policy and related schedules, including revising as necessary to take account of business and legal developments and ensuring appropriate access to, and retention and destruction of, business records. - Conducting periodic assessments related to records management schedules. - Assisting in the maintenance and administration of a contract management program, including the administration of a contract "tickler" system. - Leading a project to transition existing corporate records to electronic storage, as needed. - Responding to record requests, and - Administering offsite storage. - Develop and administer training to educate active employees and new hires on records policies/procedures.- Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures, including with respect to confidentiality, data protection and information security.- Interface with senior legal, compliance, technology, data and financial executives as needed.- Respond to records management audits and other compliance processes.

_Functions OR examples of projects for this role:_ - Reviewing new laws, regulations, and changes in interpretation on laws and regulations obtained from various sources for enterprise impact- Discusses new laws/regulations in a thorough, yet understandable manner. Performs original research on points of laws- Produces concise and accurate written summaries of any new laws or regulations- May assist Regulatory Affairs team in the development and drafting of policy languageQUALIFICATIONS- Pursuing a degree in Political Science, Legal Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Healthcare Policy, Public Health, or other related degrees- This internship is from June to August and is 40 hours per week/or 20 hours per week depending on school schedule in a virtual setting- Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
