team to evolve and maintain network infrastructure for the
Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. HOW
YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT • Responsible for designing, planning,
implementing, and administering databases, including security,
access, and documentation • Maintain and support of existing and
future databases in all designated NNSA enclaves. This includes
responsibility for managing data, namely dataset placement,
database performance, and data recovery and integrity at a physical
level. • Designs and builds relational databases. Performs data
access analysis design, and archive/recovery design and
implementation. • Develops strategies for data acquisitions,
archive recovery, and implementation of a database. •
Responsibility for managing data, namely dataset placement,
database performance, and data recovery and integrity at a physical
level. • Works in a data warehouse environment, which includes data
design, database architecture, and metadata repository creation. •
Develops data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and
software platforms, and integrating systems. • Reviews and develops
object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the
data for better management and quicker access. • Provides expert
knowledge for the design, development, build, analysis, evaluation,
installation and administration of database management systems to
include database modeling and design, relational database
architecture, non-relational database architecture and procedures,
metadata and repository creation and configuration management •
Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods,
access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks,
organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation,
and statistical methods • Prepares system requirements, source
analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database
implementation • Defines database organizations, standards,
controls, procedures, and documentation • Database performance
tuning, optimization, indexing, and implementation of industry and
agency best practices. • Applying agency data and security
standards and developing comprehensive data dictionaries. WHAT
YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
(Substitutions will be based on additional years of experience) •
Required Experience: 10 years of related experience • Required
Technical Skills: Database Administration, Data Architecture, Data
Management, Database Design, Database Security, Data Warehouses •
Security Clearance Level: DOE Q or TS • Required Skills and
Abilities: Written and Oral Communication; Organization, Problem
Solving, Communication, Technical Documentation, and Teamwork. •

this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a
guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set
based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual
requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled Weekly
