Amentum is currently seeking a C/C++ Programmer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New MexicoThe overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systemsYou will test and debug programs, diagnose and identify issues and bugs, and implement applicationsTo achieve this, at least 2 years of Unix/Linux experience and at least 5 years strong software development skills in C/C++ is neededThe organization provides server administration, architecture design implementation SW Integration and development, server support, systems integration, and network engineeringAs a member of the team, you will:--- Program in C/C++, Java or Python to meet user requirements.--- Test and debug programs, functions and services.--- Develop software to Sandia best practices.--- Meet with a customer to gather requirements or demonstrate work in progress.--- Collaborate with team within agile methodology.--- Diagnose and identify issues and bugs and implement applicationsMinimum Qualifications:--- Must have an Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, engineering, math, or science field plus 6 years related experience OR an Associate's (in related field) degree and 9 years of experience OR a High School degree/ GED and 12 years of experience OR advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a related field and 2 years' experience.--- Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.--- Must have an active TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government ClearanceNote: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.--- At least 5 years of software development experience using C++--- Experience with Linux--- Experience with Git, CMake, and CI/CD via Jenkins--- Experience and interest in working on an Agile team Preferred Qualifications:--- Experience with large, multi-organizational, multi-discipline projects with emphasis on satellite ground systems.--- Experience with different databases, such as Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, or MongoDB.--- Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python or similar programming tools.--- Experience with unit testing C++ code (e.gGTest) and integration testing.--- Excellent written and oral communication skillsAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity EmployerOur hiring practices provide equal opportunity for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender, national origin, age, United States military veteran's status, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, family structure, medical condition including genetic characteristics or information, veteran status, or mental or physical disability so long as the essential functions of the job can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation, or any other protected category under federal, state, or local lawLabor Law Posters EEO including Disability/Protected Veterans
