Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Software Developer 4 - CI/CD in Los Alamos, NM.

This position will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Navarro employee in a staff augmentation position. This position does not have relocation assistance or per Diem.

Position Description:

Supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting, and implementing new hardware and software. Works with customers and end users to understand requirements, coordinate resources, monitor timeline, and plan, track, and execute project plan. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates work processes. Prepares concepts for information system solutions and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of these concepts.

Has broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of technical objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Develops and/or implements advanced concepts, techniques, and standards based on professional principles and theories. Considered an expert in the field. Works on unusually significant, unique, or complex issues, provides solutions that are highly creative and where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Has impact on success of future concepts, products, or technologies. Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets. Assignments are often self-initiated and virtually self-supervisory. Provides technical direction and/or coordinates activities of other personnel. Uses independent judgment for determining course of action to accomplish objectives. Uses wide latitude in the methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) enterprise application and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE-2 provides custom development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, database administration, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service solutions. The selected candidate will be a crucial part of the effort to develop and implement the group's DevSecOps project. These will revolve around implementing automated testing, CI and CD pipelines, and strategies.

You will work with a team using agile development methodologies to support existing automation as well as setting up integration and automation for new projects and development within the group. You will build, test, and maintain the infrastructure, tools, and scripts to allow for the speedy development and automated release of the software. You will be responsible to oversee and standardize DevSecOp practice and automation across the group. This is a technical role that also requires direct communications with various functional customers and technical peers.

A selected candidate will be responsible to:
Design, develop, test, and deploy new functionality to existing CI/CD pipelines to support additional and new deployments.
Resolve unique integration problems, provide and implement solutions.
Support and update existing automation solutions following DevSecOps principles.
Provide support and implement any needed changes to the existing solutions during the Oracle EBS upgrade.
Collaborate with customers and colleagues.
Work independently and/or with the Scrum Team(s) on projects.
Provide knowledge transfer to the Technical staff.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Position typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of twelve years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Experience with utilizing and integrating CI/CD solutions with Git and Jira.
Knowledge and understanding of DevSecOps culture and principles.
Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), specifically Java, Kotlin, .Net.
Experience with authoring and consuming RESTfull web services.
Experience reading and writing SQL and/or PLSQL queries.
Understanding phases of a software development lifecycles.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with automated testing tools such as Eggplant, Cypress, utPLSQL, etc.
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle databases (version 12c or higher), and APEX.
Knowledge and understanding of container-orchestration systems such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Experience with MEAN/MERN stack, React.js.
Experience with application design utilizing design patterns
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required. *Must have the ability to obtain a Q Level DOE Clearance
