looking for an experienced IT System Administrator / Help Desk
Coordinator in Los Alamos, NM or Albuquerque, NM.The candidate is
an experienced IT professional, needed to support corporate
Information Technology and Cyber Security. The position will serve
as the primary liaison with the IT Service provider, ensuring a
high level of customer satisfaction and continuity of operations.
Requires initiative and resourcefulness and the ability to
communicate with a variety of teams and users, the ability to
respond to technical issues and requests, analyze and resolve
problems quickly and effectively, and discretion to escalate when
required. Develops professional skills, knowledge and abilities
through the application of standard information systems
methodology, techniques, procedures, and criteria. Receives
technical and administrative supervision from the CIO.Job
Install, configure, and run diagnostics on software and hardware,
resolving any installation concerns.
Perform moves, adds, or changes as needed.
Set up accounts and workstations, migrating data or user accounts
Purchase and maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets.
Troubleshoot issues and outages, investigating and resolving
problems or escalating to higher level as required to ensure timely
Respond to needs, questions, or concerns in an accurate and timely
Maintain, track, and record all incidents through standard
Ensure security posture through establishment of baselines,
controls, and performance monitoring.
Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
Build an internal knowledge base with technical documentation,
guidance, and IT policies and procedures.Skills and
Proven experience as a Help Desk Support Specialist, System
Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.
Experience with enterprise systems, networks (LAN, WAN) and/or
Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language.
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
Basic knowledge of infrastructure systems architecture concepts,
configurations, and standards.
Basic knowledge of corporate, industry and professional
Basic knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
Ability to handle customer interaction in an accurate, effective,
and timely manner.
Ability to articulate ideas and write clear and concise
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.Required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent years of
work experience in lieu of degree.Education:
Recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
from an accredited college or university.Professional
Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems
Administrator (MCSA)) is desired.All candidates must posses:
