nurse RN Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job
in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements -
Specialty: Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN -
Start Date: 04/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week -
Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job
Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A
minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is
required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks.
Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial
assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - PCU
/n/n Job Details: /n • Provide direct patient care to medically
complex patients awaiting community placement in a long-term stay
setting /n• Care for Med/Surg level patients in a facility without
direct escalation path to ICU /n• Float between departments and
local locations within 20 miles as required /n• Maintain a
nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 nurse to 7 patients /n• Work weekends
as needed /n• Participate in on-call and call-back coverage as
needed /n• Must successfully pass BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia)
test onsite before starting assignment /n• One opportunity to
re-test if failed - second failure results in contract cancellation
/n• 2 years current experience in 18 bed telemetry or progressive
care unit required /n• Must complete at least one 13-week travel
assignment /n• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State
Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS /n• Associate Degree in Nursing
(ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required /n• Epic
EMR experience preferred /n• Must demonstrate teamwork and
flexibility in fast-paced environment /n• Assess, plan, implement,
evaluate, and document patient care /n• Administer medications and
treatments per physician orders /n• Provide clinical supervision of
LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel /n• Recognize,
de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions /n/n
