Job Description Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Physician Position -
Albuquerque, New Mexico Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Overview:

for medical professionals to thrive. Major Duties of the Position:
Provide high-quality spinal cord injury (SCI) physician services in
our progressive, innovative health care system for the veteran
outpatient and inpatient population. Deliver patient-centered
diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with spinal cord
injuries. Develop and implement individualized care plans to
address the specific needs of patients with spinal cord injuries.
Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive care,
including cases that may require multidisciplinary management.
Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques and rehabilitation
strategies to manage and treat spinal cord injuries. Teach and
mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to
educational development programs affiliated with the University of
New Mexico, School of Medicine. Demonstrate a strong commitment to
patient care, teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty
appointment in the relevant department at the University of New
Mexico. Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care
for patients with spinal cord injuries. Participate in research and
quality improvement initiatives related to spinal cord injury care.

Benefits: Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus,
regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off
per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid
Federal holidays per year and possible 5-day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and
federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance:

insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1
full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME:
Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with
