Job Description Hospitalist (Inpatient) Position - Albuquerque,
New Mexico Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Overview: Albuquerque,

for medical professionals to thrive. Major Duties of the Position:
Provide quality inpatient hospitalist services in our progressive,
innovative health care system for the veteran population. Deliver
patient-centered care to hospitalized veterans, managing a diverse
range of medical conditions. Develop and implement individualized
care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare
team. Participate in daily rounds, ensure accurate and timely
documentation of patient care, and collaborate with consulting and
primary care physicians. Teach and mentor medical students,
residents, and fellows, contributing to educational development
programs affiliated with the University of New Mexico, School of
Medicine. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care,
teaching, and research, and be eligible for a faculty appointment
in the Department of Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Work
efficiently to optimize patient outcomes and manage transitions of
care effectively within the hospital setting. VA Offers a

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Highly qualified individuals
may be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive in

Service agreement required. Compensation and Benefits: Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary
increases Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off per year (26
days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal
holidays per year and possible 5-day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and
federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance:
Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal
insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1
full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME:
Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with
