Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 05/18/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work mid shifts from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM • Weekend requirement: Yes • On-call requirement: Yes • Floating requirement to other locations: Yes • Required certifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license, BLS Certification from AHA, ACLS Certification from AHA • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served • Ensure quality care is provided in efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards • Demonstrate performance consistent with mission, philosophy and goals of organization • Treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect • Must have current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served • Must be knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in delivery of care • Communicate in clear, concise manner appropriate to developmental age of patient • Must handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking • Requires heavy physical effort to position, push and/or transfer patients or equipment • Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases and x-rays Facility: This healthcare facility is a regional medical center providing comprehensive patient care services with specialized departments including operating room, PACU, and labor & delivery.
