Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patients during shift • Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required • Provide safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care • Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment • At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required • Two years current experience in specialty required • EPIC experience preferred; training available on-site • BLS (CPR) certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required • English proficiency required (speak, read, write) Facility: This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services to the community.
