people About Trauma Treatment Center: At TTC, BioPhysical
Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping clients across
the lifespan heal from trauma through integrated, whole-person
care. In addition to providing individual, group and/or family
therapy, clinicians participate in interdisciplinary treatment
planning by developing an annual comprehensive psychosocial
assessment, quarterly treatment plans, and documentation for each
Client, as well as participate in individual supervision, team
consultation and team meetings. Role Responsibilities : Reasonable

to perform the essential functions. Provides clinical treatment to
clients across the lifespan using individual, group and family
therapy practices. Begin the therapeutic relationship with the
clients and/or caregivers first through the intake process.
Evaluation / Re-Evaluation Assess Clients’ functional abilities,
including physical, emotional, cognitive, executive functioning,
social and sensory components, to evaluate the necessity of skilled
occupational therapy intervention, need for massage therapy
intervention, yoga-based therapy intervention or other services
available in the biophysical health department. Perform a thorough
assessment of the client and the family through the use of
standardized tools, including but not limited to: Behavior Rating
Scale of Executive Functioning (all ages), Sensory Processing
Measure (all ages), Adolescent/Adult, Infant/Toddler, and Child
Sensory Profile, Bruininks Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2,
Bayley Scales of Infant Development, Social Profile, Peabody
Developmental Motor Scales, and other non-standardized functional
assessments of handwriting, social skills, emotional processing,
praxis, adaptive behavior, etc. Assessments that are used to
support or justify a diagnosis should be updated alongside the
treatment plan as appropriate. Treatment Planning Create a full and
complete treatment plan with the clients and/or legal
guardians/caregivers including long-term and short-term measurable
goals for the child, adult or family, diagnosis of the client,
treatment modality to be utilized, plan and discharge. Present
treatment plan with clients and/or legal guardians/caregivers after
the assessment sessions and the caregivers will sign the presented
treatment plan for TTC records. Re-evaluat and adjust treatment
plans every 90 days as necessary. Documentation & Scheduling Create
and maintain accurate and current documentation of each session
through the TTC electronic medical records system. The session note
will be completed within 48 hours of the session being conducted.
If requiring a supervisor signature: The clinical therapist will
save the note for the supervisor to review and approve. The
supervisor will then sign the note if the note is accurate and
complete within 24 hours. Maintain a monthly average of contracted
billable hours. Maintain an accurate and complete calendar with
correct billing session codes for each session. Update calendars to
reflect appointments scheduled at least six weeks in advance.
Review and enforce the cancellation policy with clients. Clinical
judgement may be utilized in certain cases where the family needs
extra support to attend appointments. Meetings & Compliance: Attend
weekly staffing meetings and team consultations. Follow all local,
state, and national legal and ethical mandates. Clinicians must
consult with their direct supervisors anytime they make a SCI/APS
report. All mandatory reporting calls must be completed within 48
hours of disclosure. Documentation of the call must be signed by
the Clinician’s supervisor and uploaded to the client’s electronic
medical record. Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist
(state of NM or eligible) Experience in trauma-informed care
preferred Comfort working across the lifespan Interest in
interdisciplinary and biophysical approaches Organizational
Structure : TTC is governed by its CEO and COO, who oversee the
corporation as a whole. TTC houses multiple departments, each led
by a Director and, when applicable, an Assistant Director.
Clinicians should refer to their individual contracts for details
regarding direct supervisors and supervisees. Clinicians are the
direct care providers within the organization. They are supported
by an administrative and supervisory staff, but they remain the
primary face of the organization. It is important that Clinicians
maintain consistency, professionalism and kindness when interacting
with other staff and clients. Supervision Requirements: Attend
individual supervision as stipulated within individual contracts.
Keep supervisors appraised of all client’s progress, struggles or
significant incidents, ethical or legal dilemmas involving clients,
colleagues or administration. Communicate the status of personal
mental and emotional health as it relates to working with this
population so supervisors can provide resources, support recovery,
and prevent burnout. Participate in reflective consultation as
required by contract. Review and support quarterly supervision
goals with supervisors. Participate in semi-annual evaluations
focused on growth and goal attainment. Evaluations may also be used
to redirect Clinicians who are not meeting expectations outlined in
this job description or TTC policies and procedures. Training
Expectations : Each Clinician is expected to fulfill all continuing
education requirements for all current licenses and certifications.
It is expected that ongoing training will support their trauma
focus at TTC as well as increase their scope of practice. Training
Expectations: This is a W-2 position. Compensation is competitive
and based on experience, licensure, and scope of practice,
consistent with New Mexico labor norms. Benefits may be available
based on role and eligibility. Pay range for a PT OT is between
$42,000 - $44,100. Pay range for a FT OT is between $63,000 -
