Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience:
Minimum 2 years, charge experience required License: Valid RN
license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and preferred CPI, NIHSS,
TNCC, NRP/ENPC, STABLE Must-Have: Previous charge experience
Experience in a community hospital Experience with a patient ratio
of 4-5 Preferred experience with the Epic charting system Travel
experience is required Description: This position is for a Charge
Nurse in the Emergency Room, working night shifts. The role
requires managing a patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse.
Candidates must have advanced certifications, including BLS, ACLS,
and PALS. Candidates need to float to similar units based on
facility needs. Weekend coverage is necessary, with a minimum of
three weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule. The unit provides
care for patients from neonates to geriatrics, handling various
medical and surgical emergencies. The candidate will work in a
fast-paced environment with a daily patient volume averaging 80
visits. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy,
respiratory services, and social services. Staffing ratios can vary
based on acuity and activity levels, requiring adaptable nursing
skills. Essential skills include interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias, central line care, and ventilator management. The
