considered. A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a skilled
Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services
within an educational setting. This role supports effective
communication and accessibility for students and staff by providing
high-quality interpretation services in a remote learning
environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and clear sign
language interpretation during telehealth sessions to facilitate
communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, their
families, and healthcare providers. Collaborate with educators and
healthcare professionals to ensure understanding of student needs
and support appropriate accommodations. Maintain confidentiality
and professionalism in all interactions. Adapt interpreting
techniques to suit virtual platforms and remote communication.
Document and report session details as required by contract
guidelines. Qualifications: Proficient in American Sign Language
(ASL) with proven experience interpreting in telehealth settings.
Familiarity with educational environments and the unique
communication challenges they present. Ability to work
independently as a 1099 contractor and manage personal scheduling.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Reliable
access to necessary technology and a secure, quiet workspace for
remote interpretation. Location: This position is based in Rio
Rancho, NM, with remote telehealth service delivery. Contract
