Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • No blocked scheduling or set schedule • Weekend requirement: Yes • No on-call requirement • Float to other units as needed • Must have 2 years of med/surg experience required • RN state or compact license required • BLS from AHA required • ACLS optional • EMR: Epic system experience • Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served • Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner • Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities according to patient needs • Develop and implement individualized plans of care • Participate in patient education and discharge planning • Perform various Point of Care testing procedures • Delegate unit work assignments appropriately • Coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs • Function as a resource to visitors, physicians, and staff • Must be able to handle emergency situations and prolonged standing and walking • Requires physical effort to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment Facility: This regional medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides quality patient care services with a focus on clinical excellence and patient safety.
