Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,738 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred (1 years will be considered) License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required, CPI preferred Must-Have: - Cardiovascular experience - Experience with the following skills: - Post MI - Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery - Sheath Removal - IV insulin protocols - Feeding tube care and management - Blood product administration - Central line care and management - Phlebotomy - PICC line management - Heparin protocols - Manage cardiac drips - no titration - PCA - Procedural sedation administration and monitoring - Titrate cardiac drips - CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) - Chest tubes - Emerson/PleurEvac - BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Oxygen administration - Non-invasive airway management - Wound care/Wound Vac - Telemetry - Interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias - Remote monitoring - Post Cardiac Angiogram - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath - Peripheral line care and management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Isolation Precautions/PPE Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the progressive care unit. The role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Working nights with a patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5. The unit consists of 55 beds. Daily census is approximately 38 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patient diagnoses include CHF, STEMI, and NSTEMI. The nurse will be expected to float to like units based on facility needs. In this role, the ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with patients and their families is essential. The position requires flexibly scheduled shifts, with weekend requirements as needed. Additional duties may arise based on patient care needs and facility requirements. The nurse will receive brief orientation to the unit before commencing work. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care.
