Nursing Surgical Charge Entry Specialist Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. BSN preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: R.N. with current New Mexico State license. SKILLS: - Specific knowledge of surgical procedures - Extensive communication skills EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years experience, one year of which is OR experience. Three (3) years of relevant experience in system applications with a minimum of one (1) year project implementation team lead role required. Desired Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a minimum of eight years experience. BSN preferred. Strong computer skills required. Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in large complex information systems environments with a wide variety of Healthcare Management Information Systems applications recommended. Extensive clinical practice preferred. NATURE OF SUPERVISION: Responsible to: Director, Surgical Services ENVIRONMENT: -Bloodborne pathogen: A General office and hospital setting with exposure to computer room and patient care evironment.
