CHRISTUS St. Vincent's Regional Cancer Center is a brand-new,

of our patients and their families. Our multidisciplinary clinical

& CLINICAL SUPPORT Anesthesia Care Team our in-house anesthesia
team is physician-led and supports with advanced cancer cases.
Patient Navigation to help patients navigate the healthcare system,
coordinate appointments, treatments & resources.
Supportive/Palliative Medicine to provide symptom relief and
comfort to aid in quality of life for patients & their families.
Offerings include: massage, acupuncture, meditation, art therapy,
reiki treatment and relaxation & stress management mindfulness.
Genetic Counseling to assess hereditary cancer risks and help
families understand genetic testing options. Naturopathic Medicine
to support the body, alleviate side effects and enhance overall
well-being. EMOTIONAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT Support Groups in
partnership with the local cancer foundation Social Workers to help
connect patients and families with community resources, support

help address anxiety, depression & stress through therapy & coping

Spiritual/Emotional Support Chaplain-led to support patients
seeking comfort and spiritual care. The Position We are seeking a
dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our expanding GI
and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgical oncology programthe
only senior-led HPB initiative in New Mexico. This is a unique
opportunity to contribute to a statewide program led by a senior
HPB surgeon, delivering care through both in-person and telehealth
pathways. The role offers a supportive, collaborative work
environment and a flexible schedule, with options for either four
10-hour days or five 8-hour days. Referrals will come through
multiple channels, including a rotating clinic in Albuquerque and a
robust telehealth platform designed to reach patients in rural
communities. Initial consultations will primarily be conducted via
telehealth with a physician, while follow-up care will be managed
by the PA either virtually or in person at the cancer center. We

employer-paid medical malpractice coverage. Responsibilities: Serve
as first assist in O.R. Conduct inpatient hospital follow-up,
post-operative visits & manage outpatient clinic visits
approximately 70% outpatient and 30% inpatient NO Call requirement
Collaborate closely with surgical, medical, and radiation oncology
teams to develop treatment plans 2 O.R. days and 2 clinic days per
week with inpatient rounding responsibilities Expected to see 10-12
patients per day across hospital and clinic settings Average length
of stay for surgical patients is 5-9 days Requirements
Requirements: Graduation from an accredited PA program with
national certification and state licensure Preferred : Experience
in surgical oncology, general surgery, or GI New graduates will be
considered, with preference given to those with relevant clinical
experience or rotations Strong communication and organizational
skills Comfortable with telehealth platforms and rural patient
engagement
