Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during each shift • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episodes • Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment • One retest opportunity available; second failure results in contract cancellation • Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required • Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment • Two years current experience required in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment • Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS • BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) • Epic EMR experience preferred • NIHSS certification preferred Facility: This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit with telemetry capabilities serving 18 beds.
