hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel
Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN
with a NM or compact RN license and strong critical care skills for
a night shift assignment. Responsibilities - Position is in a
hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment - 12-hour night
shifts, three shifts per week, with weekends and call as needed -
Patient population includes critically ill adults - Requires
floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles -
EPIC is used for charting; previous experience is preferred but
on-site training is provided - RNs are responsible for
comprehensive, direct patient care including assessment, care
planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation -
Collaboration with interdisciplinary team and family to coordinate
patient care - May supervise LPNs and assistive personnel as
required - Competency testing is required during orientation -
Holiday and night shift coverage may be assigned as part of the
regular schedule Requirements - Active New Mexico or Compact State
RN license required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
required from recognized providers - Associate Degree in Nursing
(ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required - Minimum
two years of recent ICU experience required - At least one
completed 13-week travel nurse assignment required - Must pass a
Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test upon arrival with one
opportunity to retest if needed - No local candidates accepted—must
reside at least 50 miles from the facility - Returning staff must
wait one year before being eligible for traveler assignments
