Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel 12x RN's needed ~ $2538/wk - - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: (PACU patients will go directly to ICU) Cardiac, PCI, Open Heart, Sepsis, ETOH, Stroke, CABG, stents, balloon pumps, cath lab ( some- most of them will recover on the DOU unit), craniotomies, travlers are not assigned fresh open heart or crani's - they do not have to have experience in that area, general medical surgical ICU nurses are needed. - 3 years minimum experience, unless coming from a big institution with 2 years experience. - Prior travel experience preferred beds: They are licensed for 44 beds but they are currently using 36 - Certs: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required, CCRN preferred Ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 EMR: Cerner Power chart Charge Nurse: yes - they do not take a patient assignment Nurse Aides: No nurse aides but they do have a unit tech that does secretary duties, equipment duties, etc. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, Fri, Sat, Sun (for both days and nights) Holidays: Yes- work them in with perm staff rotation - that is when they are needed most so travelers should expect to work holidays Scrub Color: Navy Blue Tele/Monitor Techs: 44 Monitors hardwired - GE - they do have a monitor tech but no centralized monitoring Drips: Vasopressors, Nitro, Heparin, etc. Vents: Yes Shifts: 0645-1915/1845-0715. 12 hr shifts, no self scheduling Floating: Yes- to Tele & ER for ICU Holds Floor specific orientation: 1 day of orientation on ICU and one shifts on the Tele/stepdown unit About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
