About The Position We are seeking a Geriatrician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 24, 2025. This role features a Monday through Friday full-time schedule and focuses on all-inclusive care for older adults, primarily serving underserved and Medicaid populations in a PACE setting with low patient volume and substantial paperwork. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 24, 2025 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Geriatrician - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive care for patients aged 55 and older within a PACE program - Complete paperwork and administrative tasks as a significant part of daily duties - Deliver care to a predominantly underserved population, including a high proportion of Medicaid participants - Collaborate with Spanish-speaking medical assistants and translators to serve a largely Spanish-speaking patient base - Ensure compliance with California DEA and furnishing license requirements - Maintain high standards of patient care in accordance with geriatric medicine best practices Additional Information - Locum experience is required - Prior work in FQHC, rural health, or IHS settings is preferred - Recent experience in a geriatric care setting is mandatory; urgent care, internal medicine, or pediatrics experience will not be accepted - Active California DEA and furnishing license required - Board certification in Geriatric Medicine required Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
