About The Position We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California. This opportunity begins on Dec 8, 2025, and offers a Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule. The role centers on providing all-inclusive care for patients aged 55 and older, with a strong focus on serving underserved populations. Candidates must have recent geriatric experience and hold an active California DEA with furnishing license. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Dec 8, 2025 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Geriatric Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm Responsibilities and Duties - Deliver comprehensive care to patients aged 55 within a PACE program - Complete paperwork and documentation for low patient volume caseloads - Serve a diverse patient population, including a high percentage of Spanish-speaking and Medicaid patients - Collaborate with translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants as needed - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and program guidelines - Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork to support all-inclusive patient care Additional Information - Locum experience required - Must have prior FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS experience - Provider’s most recent experience must be in a geriatric setting (urgent care, internal medicine, and pediatrics do not qualify) - Must possess an active California DEA and furnishing license - Required board certification: Geriatric Medicine - Please confirm any time-off requests prior to submission Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
