Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency
Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift:
36.00 Experience: Two (2) years current experience required in a
large Emergency Department. Must have successfully completed at
least one 13-week travel assignment. Must be a team player,
flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. License:
State Nursing License required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS,
and NIHSS certifications required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be
completed through an authorized organization. Must-Have: Candidates
must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test before
starting the assignment. Failure to pass the test will result in
the cancellation of the contract. Description: Utilizes the nursing
process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of
patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered,
timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct
patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and
documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient
responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the
patient and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents
appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication
and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols
and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and
family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the
episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical
supervision of licensed practical nurses and non-licensed assistive
personnel. Completes patient population, age-specific, procedure,
and protocol education and competency testing according to unit
standards.
