Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/27/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (OR) Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10 hours Varied) Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed) Position Overview: The Surgical Technologist plays a critical role in the operating room by supporting the surgical team with sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient preparation before, during, and after procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills relevant to surgical procedures Maintain current knowledge of OR equipment, instruments, and procedures Strictly adhere to aseptic technique and safety protocols Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before and during procedures Prepare and secure surgical instruments and supplies pre-operatively Set up and maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure Assist with skin preparation and patient positioning Monitor and provide supportive care during surgery , including pre-operative duties Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) – NCCT Note: “We are an equal opportunity employer.
