Overview: Presbyterian is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Common responsibilities include preparing the patient for the visit, maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the provider with treatments and procedures, medication administration, support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, authorization and in-basket support with the EMR. Type of Opportunity: Per Required Need (PRN) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 hour days How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. - Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunities - Strongline Staff Safety (a wearable badge that allows nurses to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern) - Shift differentials for nights and weekends - Differentials for higher education, certifications and various lead roles - Malpractice liability insurance - Loan forgiveness through the New Mexico Higher Education Department - EPIC electronic charting system Qualifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) - State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. - Associate degree in nursing - BLS Certification required at time of hire. - Prefer 1 - 2 years ambulatory experience Responsibilities: - Responsible for walk-in and telephone triage. - Coordinates patients care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. - Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses. - Responsible for case management based on PCP panels, in collaboration with network providers to include nurse visits, telephone management, etc. - Delegates or assigns aspects of patient care to healthcare team members commensurate with their validated competency to perform the task. - Documentation within scope of practice. - Performs other functions as required.
