• Employment Type: TravelSurgical Technologist - Contract---- Location: Albuquerque, NM---' Shift Type: 12-Hour Days---- Schedule: 12-Week Contract -Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist in surgical procedures in a large, fast-paced Operating Room environment. You will work under the direct supervision of a surgeon, ensuring all instruments and the operating area are prepared and maintained for safe, effective surgical interventions. -Essential Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
  • Maintain sterile field and aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
  • Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
  • Assist in patient prep including skin preparation and positioning.
  • Support intraoperative monitoring and safety measures.
  • Handle specimens properly for lab submission.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of surgical techniques, anatomy, and intraoperative medications.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality and safety initiatives. -Required Skills & Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of current experience in a large OR.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. -Preferred Experience:
      • Ortho, ENT, or Vascular surgical experience.
