AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years or olderPosition Summary:This individual's principal goals are to collaborate with members of the executive team to identify and develop ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals.Primary responsibility is to ensure the use of modern IT software and technologies to help streamline business operations. Directs future technology initiatives, cyber security, applications and infrastructure investments. Oversees the operation of the IT department to ensure it aligns with the business objectives of Isleta Resort and Casino. Establishes IT goals and timelines for projects, and ensures security of all information and computer systems digital data.Isleta Resort and Casino Guest Service AgreementAll Team Members will display 100% commitment to World Class Guest Service through the deliveryand maintenance of Guest Service Standards established by Isleta Resort and Casino.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.Departmental Leadership:--- Responsible for the overall support, design, and development of all IT Systems at Isleta Resort & Casino, to include, but not limited to, Casino Management Systems, Casino Marketing, Hotel, Hospitality, Recreational Operations and any other relevant systems--- Interacts with Executive Management, Directors, and Managers in order to work as a management team, to achieve business and financial goals--- Approves all business requirements and IT related contracts prior to any technical solution--- Analyzes complex business needs and recommends technical solutions--- Ensures effective planning, management, and maintenance of enterprise technologies--- Identifies new technologies, implements tools and processes for proactive monitoring and management of critical infrastructure and applications--- Provides ongoing status related to the cyber security strategies and posture--- Responsible for the IT Business Continuity Program as well as Incident Response and Disaster Recover policy and exercises--- Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions--- Oversees detailed time lines for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status--- Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts--- Performs liaison duties between the executive team and IT in the areas of systems design and modifications--- Maintains current knowledge on new IT Technology and Security; Directs research on potential Technological Solutions--- Provides directions on new IT initiatives and opportunities--- Ensures department Capital and Operating expenses are within approved budgetary guidelines. Sets proper expense controls and cash Management--- Analyzes benchmarks and makes recommendations for IT infrastructure and IT Systems--- Ensures sufficient internal controls, policy, and procedure in the areas of all IT Systems, Security, and Disaster Recovery in order to prevent loss, fraud, and theftPersonnel & Administrative Tasks:--- In accordance with organizational mission and vision, sets and enforces the department standards, objectives, policy and internal control.Accountability and Supervision:Directly supervises: Subordinate employees in the IT Department.This responsibility includes: interviewing, hiring employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, developing and providing adequate training, resolving problems, providing feedback, enforcing operating policies andprocedures, and suggestions on how to make department run more efficiently and cost-effectively.Education and Experience--- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science preferred or related field.--- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT with strong gaming and/or hospitality systems experience preferred.--- Minimum of (8) years supervisory experience preferred.--- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.--- Strong leadership, project management and people management skillsSpecial Requirements, Licenses, and Certification--- Must be able to acquire and maintain Gaming License issued through POIGRA.--- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background investigation.--- Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any days/hours as needed or required to meet business needs.--- Must maintain all Isleta Resort and Casino-wide educational and certification requirements.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities--- Independent decision-making skills--- Experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies--- Experience in system security management--- Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group--- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences--- Must possess excellent verbal, written, communication and organization skills.--- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff--- Strong Analytical and problem solving skills--- Demonstrates aptitude for learning new technologies--- Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies--- Understanding of general business, both casino and hospitalityPhysical Demands and Work Environment:--- Must be able to lift, move, and place 25 pounds.--- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of timeWorking Conditions:Work is generally performed in, both, a Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level, exposure to various lights and sounds and a high paced office setting; possibility of working outdoors in extreme weather conditions such as high levels of heat, cold, winds, rain, hail, and snow.
