We are looking for Civil Engineering students to join our Albuquerque, NM office for you summer internship. Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in various aspects of civil engineering, with a focus on geotechnical engineering, material testing, and inspection services. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our projects through fieldwork, laboratory testing, and engineering analysis. Key Responsibilities: Assist in geotechnical field investigations. Conduct laboratory testing of soil and construction materials to determine their properties. Participate in construction material testing and inspections, including concrete, masonry, and grading. Support in performing on-site inspections and monitoring of construction activities. Engage in engineering report writing, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documenting findings. Analyze data collected from field and laboratory tests to aid in engineering decision-making. Collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives. Contribute to internal meetings and project discussions, offering insights and suggestions. Learning Outcomes: Develop a comprehensive understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices. Gain practical experience in field investigations, laboratory testing, and construction inspections. Enhance skills in engineering report writing and data analysis. Acquire knowledge in various construction materials and their testing methodologies. Build proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making in a real-world engineering context. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering. Must have driver's license. Able to lift 50 pounds. Willing to work outside and get hands dirty.
