Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational
Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time
Occupational Therapist position offers a unique opportunity to work
with elementary and secondary school students in Bernalillo, NM.
Providing targeted support, the role focuses on improving gross and
fine motor skills, delivering specialized OT services within a
dynamic school environment. This contract assignment is designed
for professionals who thrive in hands-on, collaborative educational
settings. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement
individualized occupational therapy plans to support students fine
and gross motor skill development. Conduct assessments and monitor
progress for an estimated caseload of 40-45 students. Collaborate
with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to create
holistic intervention strategies. Maintain compliance with
licensing and documentation requirements consistent with New Mexico
education and healthcare standards. Provide on-site services,
ensuring a consistent presence during the academic day.
Qualifications: Licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible to
obtain New Mexico RLD and NMPED licenses. Experience in
school-based occupational therapy preferred. Strong skills in gross
motor and fine motor development techniques. Ability to manage a
full caseload in an elementary and secondary school setting.
Commitment to on-site work; virtual arrangements are not supported.
Location & Schedule: Bernalillo, NM Full-time (1.0 FTE), 37.5 hours
per week Contract position for the current school year (CSY)
