About the Position:
We seek to grow the business significantly in a controlled
environment and are searching for an entrepreneurial executive with
a drive to optimize marketing. This opportunity has significant
responsibility and will give the VP of Marketing the ability to put
their fingerprint and influence on company growth.
The VP of Marketing is responsible for leading BayWa r.e. Solar
Systems, LLCs efforts related to marketing strategies and
execution. At its core, this is a leadership position that is a
hybrid role between strategy, operations, e-commerce and tactical
work. This person will oversee at a high level the successful
creation, development, and execution of all marketing efforts for
the US Solar Distribution business, while leading a diverse team of
marketing professionals. This includes, but is not limited to,
advertising, promotions, digital marketing, events, training,
vendor partnerships and customer engagement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a robust digital and marketing strategy and plan for
BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC that drives awareness, customer
acquisition and retention
- Develop a strategy that utilizes corporate branding and
messaging that retains and acquires new customers to drive
incremental revenue
- Develop a marketing plan that reaches target segments quickly
and effectively.
- Collaborate with global and regional Corporate Marketing &
Communications teams to leverage existing brand assets and
processes to support local efforts.
- Create brand-enhancing, traffic-driving marketing initiatives
that drive and deliver leads
- Define measurements of marketing effectiveness, implement
tracking and reporting on measurements, and communicate these
regularly with teams and leadership
- Use analytics, market research, communication, advertising, and
digital marketing to generate profitable leads.
- Manage creation of all marketing materials, website content,
social media channels, and events to support integrated
marketing
- Define, gain consensus for and implement measurable strategies
that will drive revenue and increase awareness.
- Educate sales teams on how to leverage content in the most
optimal ways
- Use analytics, market research, communication, advertising, and
digital marketing to generate profitable customer leads.
- Refine and optimize marketing campaigns continuously.
- Lead all marketing projects, including
product/services/partnership launches, collateral, customer
communications, online campaigns and multimedia.
- Develop and manage marketing budgets; measure ROI by defining,
communicating, and tracking KPIs; measure and optimize marketing
programs to ensure activities are effective, efficient, and deliver
high return on investment.
- Do "whatever it takes" to get the job done and work effectively
and efficiently including on a tight deadline without drama or
ego.
- Build, inspire, and lead a marketing team that delivers against
marketing goals, with clearly defined roles, career paths,
succession plans, and employee success strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A customer-centric executive who understands the premise of
marketing, selling, and delivering a product in such a way that it
exceeds customer expectations
- Exceptional leadership skills, evidenced by successfully
building, motivating, and managing high-performance teams in high
growth environments
- A history of effectively partnering as part of a highly
collaborative senior management team in support of business
objectives
- Track record of developing team members into expanded roles
within the organization.
- Ability to work within established brand guidelines and
corporate strategies
- Ability to work with a diverse team global marketers across
many countries to support local initiatives
- Ability to set and achieve company and individual metrics and
goals, and hold teams accountable
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding growth
plans
- Ability to blend data, intuition, and creativity to drive
business decisions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational
skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant marketing experience with at
least 5 years in high-growth environments.
- Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated increasing levels of talent and
leadership.
- Experience leading, developing, and mentoring teams.
