Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Jose,
California. This position is within a non-profit organization and
offers a Contract to permanent opportunity for candidates seeking a
long-term career. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
accounting functions and will play a key role in maintaining
financial accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: • Manage and
execute month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate
reporting. • Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all
entries are correct and align with financial standards. • Prepare
and post journal entries, maintaining comprehensive documentation
for all transactions. • Perform account reconciliations,
identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all cash transactions are
properly recorded and balanced. • Collaborate with internal teams
to support financial audits and provide necessary documentation. •
Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend
improvements to accounting processes. • Ensure compliance with
organizational policies and applicable accounting regulations. •
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management
review. • Support special projects and initiatives to enhance
operational efficiency within the accounting department.• Proven
experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. •
Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and accounting
principles. • Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries
with attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to perform account
and bank reconciliations accurately. • Familiarity with financial
software and tools to streamline accounting tasks. • Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies. •
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a
related field preferred.
